About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Chemist to join their dynamic team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role involves the development, optimization, and scale-up of chemical processes for a range of innovative products. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and sustainability within our client's chemical operations, contributing directly to the company's growth and technological advancements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to develop and optimise chemical synthesis routes and purification methods.
- Analyse and interpret experimental data to identify key process parameters and potential scale-up challenges.
- Develop comprehensive process documentation, including batch records, safety assessments, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth technology transfer from lab to pilot plant and commercial scale.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during process development and manufacturing.
- Stay abreast of new chemical technologies and methodologies to enhance process efficiency and sustainability.
Requirements
- A Master's or PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in process chemistry and scale-up.
- Proven ability to design, conduct, and analyse complex chemical experiments.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and MS.
- Excellent understanding of chemical reaction kinetics , thermodynamics, and separation technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information remotely.
