Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to identify and engage with potential suppliers.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to understand supply chain dynamics and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of price, quality, and service delivery.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct regular supplier reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide expert advice and support throughout the purchasing lifecycle.
- Oversee the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and recommendation of preferred suppliers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role within a corporate environment.
- Demonstrable success in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies and sourcing initiatives.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a thorough understanding of commercial law and procurement best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, as well as strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
