Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies to optimize sourcing and supplier performance.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier research to identify potential partners and mitigate risks.
- Manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders across different departments to understand their procurement needs.
- Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
- Mentor junior members of the purchasing team and contribute to their professional development.
Requirements
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in a strategic procurement or sourcing role.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations and managing high-value contracts.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CIPS is highly desirable.
