About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Geologist to contribute to their upstream operations in Sheffield . This role is focused on the geological aspects of oil and gas production, requiring in-depth understanding of reservoir characterization and performance monitoring. You will work closely with production and reservoir engineers to optimize hydrocarbon recovery from existing fields, analyze production data, and provide geological support for field development and infill drilling programs. This position offers a chance to apply your expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment within the Oil & Gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed geological models of producing reservoirs, integrating well and seismic data.
- Analyze production logs and well performance data to understand reservoir behavior.
- Identify opportunities for optimizing production and enhancing recovery through geological insights.
- Provide geological input for infill drilling campaigns, including target selection and wellbore planning.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers to reconcile geological models with production performance.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on reservoir characterization and production geology.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Geology or a related earth science discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in production geology or reservoir geology within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proficiency in geological modeling software and log analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology relevant to producing fields.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.
