About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to lead the development and execution of renewable energy infrastructure projects, based remotely but with strong ties to the Norwich region. This role involves managing all phases of project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and design to construction oversight and commissioning. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, including site selection, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Oversee engineering design, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators, and manage project financials effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering or management , with a significant focus on renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies , grid integration, and project finance.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills .
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is essential.
