About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and experienced Senior Energy Trader to join their dynamic trading desk. This role is responsible for executing trading strategies across various energy commodities, managing risk, and optimizing portfolio performance. You will leverage market intelligence, data analysis, and swift decision-making to capitalize on market volatility and drive profitability. Key Responsibilities

• Execute trading strategies for natural gas, power, oil, and related derivatives .
• Monitor market developments, news, and weather forecasts to identify trading opportunities.
• Manage trading positions and actively mitigate risks associated with market fluctuations.
• Analyze market data, trends, and economic indicators to inform trading decisions.
• Collaborate with risk management and analytics teams to optimize trading performance.
• Maintain detailed records of trades, P&L, and market positions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy trading , with a proven track record of profitability.
• Deep understanding of energy commodity markets, including physical and financial trading .
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling.
• Excellent decision-making abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure.
• Experience with trading platforms and risk management systems.
