Senior Project Manager - Pharmaceutical Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead complex pharmaceutical development projects, working entirely remotely. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects from early-stage research through to regulatory submission. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams, timelines, budgets, and risks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in pharmaceutical project management, a deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle, and the ability to thrive in a fully remote , collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cross-functional project teams through all phases of pharmaceutical product development, from discovery to regulatory filing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all quality and regulatory standards.
• Prepare project status reports and present updates to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a life science, pharmaceutical science, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical industry .
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex drug development projects.
• Strong understanding of the drug development process, including pre-clinical, clinical, and regulatory phases.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a remote setting .
