About the Role
Our client seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Real Estate Valuer to join their reputable firm in Edinburgh . In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and reliable property valuations across a wide range of commercial and residential assets. You will conduct detailed site inspections, undertake thorough market research, and apply advanced valuation methodologies to produce comprehensive valuation reports. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively. The role is primarily office-based with regular travel for site visits throughout Scotland .
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inspections of various property types, assessing their condition, features, and marketability.
- Prepare detailed and accurate property valuations for a variety of purposes, including investment, lending, and due diligence.
- Perform in-depth market research, analyzing comparable sales, rental data, and economic factors.
- Apply appropriate valuation methodologies, such as the income, sales comparison, and cost approaches.
- Ensure all valuations comply with relevant professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and responsive service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a qualified Real Estate Valuer with a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS).
- In-depth knowledge of valuation principles and practices, particularly within the Scottish property market.
- Proficiency in using valuation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous approach to detail.
- Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
