About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist specializing in Analytical Chemistry to join their innovative product development team in Nottingham . This role is critical for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of their products through rigorous chemical analysis. You will lead method development, validation, and routine testing using a range of advanced analytical instrumentation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Perform complex analyses using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, spectroscopy, and titration.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve method performance issues.
- Interpret analytical data and prepare detailed technical reports for regulatory submissions and internal use.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, GLP).
- Mentor and train junior analytical chemists and technicians.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry , Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in analytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
- Expertise in operating and maintaining a variety of analytical instruments (HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS).
- Strong understanding of chemical principles and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and LIMS.
