About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Leicester . This role is crucial for optimizing hydrocarbon recovery and managing reservoir assets effectively. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing reservoir management strategies, performing complex analyses, and providing expert recommendations to maximize value and ensure sustainable production. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the Oil & Gas sector, contributing to the company's operational excellence and strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reservoir characterization studies using geological and engineering data.
- Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios.
- Perform decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and reserve estimations.
- Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize injection strategies.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to integrate reservoir insights into field development plans.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering roles within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG).
- Strong understanding of reservoir fluid properties, rock mechanics, and multiphase flow.
- Experience with data analysis and uncertainty assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
