About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their innovative and dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in optimizing hydrocarbon recovery, developing reservoir management strategies, and providing crucial technical support for exploration and production operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed reservoir simulation models to forecast production and optimize recovery strategies.
- Conduct static and dynamic reservoir characterization studies, integrating geological, petrophysical, and production data.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management and project teams.
- Collaborate with drilling, production, and geoscience departments to ensure integrated reservoir management.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques for various reservoir types.
- Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, ECLIPSE, CMG).
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow, and well test analysis .
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex reservoir studies and contributing to field development plans.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
