About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . This critical role involves the detailed analysis and optimisation of oil and gas reservoirs to maximise hydrocarbon recovery and ensure efficient production operations. You will work closely with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to develop long-term field development strategies and provide technical expertise on reservoir performance. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth reservoir characterization studies, including data integration, geological modelling, and performance analysis.
- Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models to predict future production and evaluate various development scenarios.
- Define and implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies to improve field productivity and economic viability.
- Perform economic evaluations and risk assessments for new projects and existing field developments.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for project stakeholders and senior management.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the reservoir engineering department.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow in porous media, and geological concepts .
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver accurate technical analysis and recommendations.
