About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their team in Reading . This key role involves the detailed evaluation and strategic management of oil and gas assets to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and profitability. You will work collaboratively with subsurface specialists, contributing to field development planning, production forecasting, and advanced reservoir simulation. Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth reservoir characterization studies, including performance analysis, volumetric estimations , and uncertainty quantification.
- Develop and implement optimized reservoir management plans to enhance production and ultimate recovery.
- Utilize advanced reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow and predict future reservoir performance accurately.
- Collaborate closely with geologists, production engineers, and drilling engineers on integrated field development projects.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and present complex findings to management and project teams.
- Monitor reservoir performance trends and propose data-driven optimization strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in reservoir engineering , with a strong focus on simulation and analytical techniques.
- Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG).
- Solid understanding of reservoir geology , petrophysics, and production data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively to multidisciplinary project teams.
