Senior Scientist - Molecular Biology

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of complex molecular biology experiments, including gene cloning, PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation.
• Develop and optimize molecular assays for target validation and characterization.
• Analyze and interpret complex molecular data, generating robust conclusions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with computational biologists and other research teams to integrate diverse datasets.
• Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, and contribute to scientific reports and publications.
• Troubleshoot experimental issues and develop innovative solutions to overcome technical challenges.

Requirements

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in molecular biology research.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of molecular biology techniques.
• Proficiency in bioinformatics tools for sequence analysis and data interpretation.
• Experience with gene editing technologies (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9) is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills within a laboratory setting.
