About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join their groundbreaking Oncology Research team in Portsmouth . Key Responsibilities
- Design, conduct, and interpret complex experiments investigating cancer biology and therapeutic response.
- Develop and optimize novel cell-based and biochemical assays relevant to oncology targets.
- Lead research efforts focused on identifying and validating new oncology drug candidates.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, and clinicians.
- Analyze and present experimental data, contributing to research strategy and project progression.
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the overall scientific direction of the oncology program.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Oncology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in cancer research.
- Proven expertise in a wide range of oncology research techniques (e.g., cell culture, cancer cell line work, molecular assays).
- Strong understanding of cancer signaling pathways, tumor microenvironment, and mechanisms of drug resistance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and contribute to scientific publications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, required for this role in Portsmouth .
