About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Security Architect to join their team, with a hybrid working arrangement based in Plymouth . This role is responsible for the design and implementation of secure infrastructure and systems that protect the organization's assets. You will define security requirements, evaluate new technologies, and ensure that security is embedded into the design of all IT solutions. This is a strategic position for an individual passionate about building secure, resilient systems in the Plymouth area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Define security standards, patterns, and blueprints for enterprise-wide adoption.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies and tools to enhance protection.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
- Develop and maintain security architecture documentation and guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on security best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in security architecture or a related senior technical role.
- Deep understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure), network security, and application security.
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- CISSP, TOGAF, or other relevant architecture certifications are highly valued.
