About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Senior Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust security frameworks. This role operates on a hybrid model, based out of our Stoke-on-Trent office, offering a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration. You will be instrumental in defining the security strategy, ensuring that security is embedded into the design of all IT systems and projects. This senior position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in designing secure, scalable, and resilient systems. You will guide technical teams and influence stakeholders to adopt best-in-class security practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop enterprise-level security architectures that align with business objectives and threat landscape.
Define security standards, patterns, and guidelines for the organization.
Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the security posture.
Provide expert guidance on security requirements for new projects and system designs.
Lead security reviews and threat modeling activities for critical systems and applications.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to ensure security requirements are met.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
Deep understanding of security principles, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA), and best practices.
Proven experience in designing security for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
Excellent technical leadership and communication skills.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, or CCP are highly valued.
