Senior Site Manager – Residential Development
Location: East Sussex Project: 200-unit traditional build residential development Position: Senior Site Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a major residential development in East Sussex, delivering a 200-unit traditional build housing scheme.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong residential background who has a proven track record of taking projects from groundworks through to completion and handover.
The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the development, ensuring the project is completed safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and in accordance with NHBC requirements.
You will be responsible for coordinating site operations, subcontractors and trades, while maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the residential development.
Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and trades.
Ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
Oversee construction from initial works through to completion and handover.
Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or issues.
Maintain strong quality control throughout all stages of construction.
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with NHBC standards and requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
Liaise with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager and other stakeholders.
Manage subcontractors and ensure works are completed to specification.
Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
Ensure all health & safety requirements are met and maintained.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager within residential construction.
A strong track record of successfully delivering traditional build housing schemes.
Experience taking a residential development from start to finish, including completion and handover.
Previous experience working on NHBC-regulated developments.
Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and quality standards.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
The ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades effectively.
A proactive approach to problem solving and programme management.

Proven residential construction experience.
Experience working with NHBC.
Demonstrable experience completing projects from start to finish.
