About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Smart Contract Developer to join their ambitious team in Reading . This role is critical for designing, developing, and securing advanced smart contracts that underpin innovative decentralized applications within the crypto and blockchain space. You will take a leading role in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and security of our on-chain logic. The ideal candidate is a seasoned developer with a deep understanding of blockchain security and a passion for building robust decentralized systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts using Solidity and other relevant languages.
Conduct rigorous testing, security audits, and formal verification of smart contracts to prevent vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with product teams to translate complex business requirements into robust on-chain logic.
Optimize smart contract performance and gas usage for maximum efficiency.
Mentor junior developers on best practices for smart contract development and security.
Stay at the forefront of smart contract technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on smart contract development .
Expertise in Solidity and experience with blockchain development frameworks such as Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry.
Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including cryptographic principles, consensus algorithms, and EVM architecture.
Proven track record of identifying and mitigating common smart contract vulnerabilities.
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated smart contract deployment.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
