About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Write, test, and deploy secure and gas-efficient smart contracts on blockchain platforms like Ethereum and Polygon.
• Conduct thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments of smart contract code.
• Optimize smart contracts for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to integrate smart contracts with decentralized applications (dApps).
• Participate in the design and evolution of blockchain protocols and decentralized finance (DeFi) products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years specifically focused on smart contract development .
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with smart contract development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721), and DeFi principles.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and formal verification of smart contracts.
• Familiarity with security best practices for smart contract development and auditing in Leeds .
