Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join their pioneering team in Wolverhampton . This role is central to the development of secure, efficient, and innovative smart contracts that underpin our advanced crypto and blockchain solutions. You will leverage your deep expertise to architect, write, and audit complex smart contracts, ensuring their robustness and security in a demanding market. This is a key position for someone looking to lead technical efforts in the rapidly evolving decentralized finance (DeFi) and blockchain ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy highly secure and efficient smart contracts for various blockchain platforms.
Conduct thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments of smart contract code.
Lead the implementation of smart contract best practices and coding standards.
Collaborate with product teams to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications for smart contracts.
Optimize smart contracts for performance, gas efficiency, and scalability.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the smart contract development discipline.

Requirements

Extensive experience as a Smart Contract Engineer with a strong portfolio of deployed contracts.
Deep expertise in Solidity and familiarity with other smart contract languages like Rust or Vyper.
In-depth understanding of blockchain architecture, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, etc.), and DeFi protocols.
Proven ability to write secure, audited code and mitigate common smart contract vulnerabilities.
Experience with development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle) and testing methodologies.
Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the crypto and blockchain domain.
