Senior Structural Engineer - Offshore

About the Role

Our client is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer with specialization in offshore structures, seeking a fully remote position based out of Edinburgh, Scotland . This role requires extensive experience in the design, analysis, and integrity management of offshore platforms, subsea structures, and pipelines. You will contribute to critical projects, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of assets in challenging marine environments. Working remotely, you will collaborate with global engineering teams, providing expert technical input and leveraging cutting-edge analysis tools to support the company's extensive portfolio of Oil & Gas projects worldwide, fostering innovation from any location.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, and subsea components using FEA software.
• Conduct integrity assessments, fitness-for-service evaluations, and develop maintenance strategies.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., DNV, API, Eurocodes).
• Collaborate with project teams, including naval architects, geotechnical engineers, and fabrication specialists.
• Develop technical specifications for structural materials and fabrication processes.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence within the remote team.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a specialization in offshore structures.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore structural engineering for the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of fatigue, blast, and seismic analysis for offshore structures.
• Strong understanding of marine environments and associated structural challenges.
