About the Role
Our client, a reputable financial services firm in Liverpool , is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Tax Advisor to join their expanding tax team. This role will involve providing expert tax advice to a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax legislation, and identifying opportunities for tax planning and efficiency. You will work collaboratively with other departments to deliver integrated financial solutions and contribute to the firm's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of UK tax law, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds, combining remote work flexibility with in-office collaboration in Liverpool .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive tax advice on corporate tax, personal tax, VAT, and other relevant tax areas.
- Prepare and review tax returns, computations, and submissions for clients.
- Conduct tax research and stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and case law.
- Identify tax planning opportunities to minimise tax liabilities for clients.
- Liaise with HMRC and other tax authorities on behalf of clients.
- Support junior members of the tax team and contribute to their professional development.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Tax Advisor (CTA, ACA, ACCA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- In-depth knowledge of UK tax legislation and its application across various business and personal scenarios.
- Proven ability to analyse complex tax issues and provide clear, practical advice.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Experience working within a hybrid working model is preferred.
