About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Technical Artist to join their talented team in Milton Keynes . You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between art and technology, developing tools, workflows, and optimizing assets to ensure the highest visual quality and performance for their ambitious projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom tools, scripts, and pipelines to streamline the art asset creation process.
• Optimize 3D models, textures, and shaders for real-time rendering engines, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Collaborate with artists to solve technical challenges and implement complex visual effects.
• Work with engineers to integrate art assets and ensure compatibility with game engines and platforms.
• Create and refine shaders, materials, and lighting setups to achieve desired visual styles.
• Provide technical training and support to the art team, fostering best practices.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Technical Artist in the games industry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical solutions and artistic integration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, MEL, or C#.
• Expertise with real-time rendering engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their associated tools.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation principles.
• Experience with shader development and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
