About the Role
Our client is looking for an innovative and strategic Senior Telecoms Network Architect to lead the design and evolution of their network infrastructure in Manchester . This senior position is critical in shaping the future of our telecommunications capabilities, focusing on scalability, resilience, and the integration of emerging technologies. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to translate requirements into robust architectural blueprints, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall telecom network architecture roadmap, encompassing core, transport, and access networks.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create detailed architectural designs, blueprints, and technical specifications for network deployments and upgrades.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to engineering and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct proof-of-concept trials and performance testing for new network technologies and vendor solutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in telecom network design and architecture , with a proven track record in large-scale deployments.
- Extensive knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, SDN/NFV, cloud networking, and various wireless technologies.
- Experience with network modelling and simulation tools, and the ability to articulate complex designs clearly.
- Strong understanding of vendor landscape and ability to negotiate technical requirements with partners.
