About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Telecoms Network Architect to join their distributed team, supporting operations across the UK. This role is critical for defining the future of our client's telecommunications infrastructure, focusing on scalability, resilience, and cutting-edge technology adoption. You will be responsible for the high-level design and strategic roadmap of our network, working closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of your architectural visions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall architectural vision and strategy for the company's telecommunications networks.
- Design robust, scalable, and secure network solutions that align with business objectives and future growth.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, protocols, and solutions to enhance network capabilities.
- Create detailed network design documents, including logical and physical network diagrams.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to oversee the successful implementation of architectural designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineering teams, particularly in a remote environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture.
- Deep understanding of complex network protocols, SDN, NFV, and cloud networking concepts.
- Proven experience in designing large-scale enterprise or service provider networks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
- Industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
