About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Senior Telecoms Network Architect to join their esteemed team on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial for shaping the future architecture of our client's advanced telecommunications infrastructure. You will be responsible for the high-level design, strategic planning, and technical roadmapping of their network services, ensuring they remain scalable, resilient, and at the forefront of technological innovation. This position requires a deep understanding of current and emerging trends in the telecoms sector and the ability to translate complex requirements into elegant, robust architectural solutions from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the strategic architectural roadmap for the company's telecommunications network , encompassing both current and future state designs.
- Lead the design of complex, enterprise-scale network solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance network capabilities and service offerings.
- Collaborate remotely with engineering, product management, and operations teams to define technical requirements and ensure architectural integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and high-level designs for implementation by engineering teams.
- Provide expert technical consultation and guidance on network architecture best practices to internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in telecoms network architecture and design, with a focus on large-scale deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of core network technologies such as IP routing (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, DWDM, Ethernet, and mobile core networks (e.g., 5G SA architecture).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing highly available, secure, and scalable network infrastructures.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native principles and their application in telco environments (NFV, SDN, containerization).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suited for effective collaboration in a remote environment .
