About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join their busy fabrication workshop in Sheffield . This role involves shaping, cutting, and assembling metal sheets to create a wide range of components and products for various industries. You will work with precision tools and machinery, following technical drawings to produce high-quality metalwork. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic to contribute to a well-established manufacturing team in South Yorkshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components using various tools and machinery, including presses, cutters, and welders.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately produce metal parts.
• Measure and mark metal stock to be cut or shaped.
• Operate machinery such as guillotines, folding machines, and CNC punch presses safely and efficiently.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure machinery is kept in good working order.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar fabrication role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Skilled in using a variety of sheet metal working tools and machinery.
• Good understanding of different metal types and their properties.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
