Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and cooking standards.
• Manage inventory, including stock control, ordering, and receiving of ingredients to minimize waste.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed within the kitchen environment.
• Maintain consistency and quality of dishes during busy service periods.
• Contribute to menu development and specials, bringing creative ideas to the team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a Senior Chef de Partie in a busy restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
• Proficiency in food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., Level 2 Food Safety).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively during peak hours.
