About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join their culinary team in Belfast . As the second-in-command in the kitchen, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and consistency. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during service.
• Ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and quality standards for all dishes.
• Contribute to menu development and creation of specials, alongside the Head Chef.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and assist with ordering supplies to control costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen.
• Strong understanding of culinary techniques and a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Creativity and a keen interest in food trends and innovation in Belfast .
