SEND Tutor - St Helens
Location: St Helens Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing
Prospero Teaching are seeking a compassionate and adaptable SEND Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a learner in St Helens.
This role would suit an educator who enjoys building strong relationships with learners and can adapt sessions to meet individual educational and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition Adapt lessons and resources to suit the learner's needs Build confidence, motivation and engagement Support the learner to make progress towards individual targets Create a calm and positive learning environment Monitor progress and provide feedback
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people Experience supporting learners with SEND Patient, flexible and encouraging approach Strong communication skills Ability to adapt teaching strategies Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience desirable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references
