About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and diligent Sports Facilities Operative to join their team at a busy sports complex in Norwich . This role is crucial for ensuring the venue is maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all users, including athletes, members, and the general public. You will be involved in a range of tasks, from grounds maintenance and cleaning to setting up event spaces and assisting visitors. The ideal candidate will be practical, hard-working, and possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service within a vibrant sports setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks for all sports facilities, including pitches, courts, changing rooms, and common areas.
• Undertake basic groundskeeping duties such as mowing, line marking, and general site tidiness.
• Set up and dismantle equipment and facilities for sports events, training sessions, and community activities.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for the sports complex.
• Provide friendly and helpful assistance to visitors and users of the facilities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning, maintenance, or general operative role, preferably in a sports or leisure environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures and the ability to follow instructions.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working outdoors.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
