Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural and stress analyses on mechanical components and assemblies using FEA software .
• Interpret analysis results to provide design recommendations and modifications to improve structural performance and safety margins.
• Develop and validate analytical models against experimental test data and real-world performance.
• Collaborate with design engineers to integrate structural requirements into the product development process.
• Create technical reports summarizing analysis methodologies, findings, and recommendations for design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations for structural integrity, working closely with regulatory bodies as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in structural mechanics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in structural analysis and FEA .
• Proficiency with major FEA software packages such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran.
• Strong understanding of solid mechanics, material properties, and failure theories.
• Experience with data acquisition and experimental validation of analytical models.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting in Cardiff .
