Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Subsea Engineer to contribute to their offshore projects, operating from their office in Glasgow, Scotland, UK , with some flexibility for remote work. This role involves the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems and equipment. You will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and functionality of subsea infrastructure essential for offshore hydrocarbon extraction. This is an opportunity to work on complex, challenging projects within a leading energy company, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver state-of-the-art subsea solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify subsea equipment, including christmas trees, manifolds, and pipelines.
• Develop installation procedures and support offshore execution activities.
• Conduct structural and hydrodynamic analysis of subsea components.
• Manage interfaces between subsea systems and topside facilities.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for subsea operations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for subsea engineering.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsea engineering design and project execution.
• Proficiency with relevant subsea design software and analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of subsea production systems, umbilical, and flow assurance.
• Experience with offshore installation and intervention techniques.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
