Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team in Edinburgh . This role is integral to optimizing the flow of goods, ensuring efficiency, and reducing costs throughout the supply chain network. You will be responsible for data analysis, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for process improvements within inventory management, logistics, and demand planning for their extensive FMCG product range.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock holding and minimize waste.
• Support the logistics team in optimizing transportation routes and carrier performance.
• Generate regular reports on key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
• Assist in the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain or logistics role, preferably within FMCG .
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with inventory management and demand planning principles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
