About the Role
Our client is seeking an analytical and proactive Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Edinburgh . In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's supply chain operations. You will analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies to improve inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in areas such as inventory, logistics, and procurement.
- Develop and maintain supply chain performance metrics (KPIs) and generate regular reports for management.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Support the selection and evaluation of suppliers, assessing performance and negotiating terms where applicable.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain and implement solutions.
- Assist in forecasting demand and planning for future supply chain needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and potentially BI platforms.
- Understanding of supply chain principles , inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently in a remote setting and collaboratively in an office environment.
