Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is crucial for optimizing our supply chain's efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Your insights will directly influence strategic decisions related to inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of supply chain principles, and a commitment to driving tangible improvements within a busy operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key supply chain metrics (e.g., lead times, costs, inventory turns).
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to understand their challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
• Assist in forecasting demand and planning inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing carrying costs.
• Evaluate supplier performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a supply chain or logistics analysis role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Excellent understanding of supply chain operations, inventory management, and logistics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data clearly.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
