About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to optimize operations for their FMCG business. This hybrid role, based in Stoke-on-Trent , involves analysing supply chain data, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure the smooth flow of goods from production to consumers. This position is crucial for maintaining a competitive edge in the fast-paced FMCG market through strategic supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse supply chain data, including inventory levels, logistics costs, and delivery performance, to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain and track progress against targets.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and production teams to implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Utilize data analysis tools and software to model different supply chain scenarios and evaluate potential solutions.
- Support the forecasting process by providing insights into demand patterns and potential supply chain constraints.
- Assist in the management of supplier relationships and performance evaluation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
