Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to join their dynamic team, with a base in Edinburgh . This role is central to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire supply chain, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products. You will analyze complex data sets, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to optimize inventory, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mind and a passion for leveraging data to solve business challenges within a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance.
• Support the design and implementation of new supply chain strategies and processes.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and integration.
• Prepare reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in demand forecasting to ensure optimal stock availability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, and BI software.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
