Swimming Instructor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to teach a variety of swimming lessons at their modern facility in Plymouth . You will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and encouraging learning environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities, from beginners to improvers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of swimming techniques, and a passion for water safety and aquatic education. You will play a vital role in helping individuals develop confidence and competence in the water.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured swimming lessons according to the established curriculum.
• Assess the progress of swimmers and provide constructive feedback to aid development.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during lessons.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate progress to parents or guardians.
• Create a positive and engaging atmosphere to encourage regular participation.
• Assist with pool supervision and adhere to all aquatic safety procedures in Plymouth .

Requirements

• Recognized Swimming Instructor qualification (e.g., STA, Swim England).
• Current lifesaving or water safety certification.
• Experience teaching swimming to various age groups and skill levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, encouraging, and able to adapt teaching methods.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
