Job Description
Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Dagenham, East London Contract: Temporary, Full-Time, Term-Time Only Pay: £95-£105 per day PAYE Working Pattern: Monday-Friday
SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class in a welcoming primary school in Dagenham.
This full-time, temporary role combines general classroom support, small-group interventions and individual support for pupils with additional needs, including Autism.
The Role
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support children's learning and development within the Reception classroom, helping to create a positive and inclusive Early Years environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support children's learning through play-based and structured activities
Support phonics and early literacy development
Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions under the direction of the class teacher
Support pupils with Autism and other additional needs
Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence
Help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other support staff
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
Previous experience working with children in a Nursery, Reception or other relevant Early Years setting
Experience supporting children with SEN, Autism or additional needs
A good understanding of phonics and early literacy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, patient and proactive approach
Additional experience delivering phonics interventions or providing individual support to children with Autism would be advantageous.
Pay
Pay ranges from £95 to £105 per day PAYE.
The minimum rate of £95 per day applies to candidates who meet the essential experience requirements for the role.
Rates above £95 per day, up to £105 per day, will depend on the candidate's level of relevant Early Years and SEN experience and additional relevant skills or training. This may include proven experience supporting children with Autism and delivering phonics or Early Years interventions.
