Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fibre optic cabling systems.
• Configure and commission telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Conduct site surveys and plan installation routes and requirements.
• Ensure all installations adhere to industry standards and company quality guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and network configurations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in telecommunications installation or network engineering.
• Familiarity with cabling standards (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6, Fibre Optic).
• Knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
• Proficiency in using testing equipment such as cable testers and OTDRs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel within Reading and surrounding areas in Berkshire .
