About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a diligent and skilled Telecoms Installation Engineer to join their expanding, remote-first team. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful deployment and integration of telecommunications equipment and systems for a diverse client base. You will be responsible for site surveys, equipment installation, configuration, and testing, ensuring that all installations meet stringent quality and performance standards. Working from a home base, you will coordinate closely with project managers and clients to deliver seamless installations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements for various telecom equipment .
- Install, configure, and commission telecommunications hardware, including routers, switches, antennas, and cabling.
- Conduct thorough testing and diagnostics to ensure all installations are functioning correctly and meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed installation records, documentation, and reports.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and industry standards during installation activities.
- Liaise with project management and customer representatives to ensure project timelines and expectations are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecoms installation or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with installing and configuring networking hardware and cabling (e.g., fibre optics, Ethernet).
- Understanding of telecom network principles and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setup .
