Telecoms Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Telecoms Project Manager to oversee and drive key projects within their expanding infrastructure initiatives, based in or near Sunderland, Tyne and Wear . You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of telecom projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of the telecoms industry , capable of managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. Your expertise will be vital in successfully delivering complex network deployments and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize telecom projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, technicians, and vendors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Communicate project updates effectively to all stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager , preferably within the telecommunications sector .
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2).
• Strong understanding of telecom network technologies and project lifecycles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
