Trainee Machine Operator

Salary: £573.75 per week (£13.50 per hour) depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 6am to 3.30pm

Trainee Machine Operator - The Role:

In this role, you will work as part of our production team, reporting to supervisors while gaining valuable hands-on experience in steel operations. You will operate cutting and bending rebar machines to produce different shapes of rebar, perform quality checks on finished products, and assemble bundles for packing. You will maintain a tidy and safe working environment at all times and be flexible to undertake paid overtime when necessary.

Trainee Machine Operator - Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cutting and bending rebar machines safely and effectively

• Produce different shapes of rebar to specification and quality check finished products

• Assemble and prepare bundles for packing

• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment

• Work flexibly to accommodate paid overtime when needed

Trainee Machine Operator - You:

• Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Physically able to cope with reasonable manual handling

• Organised, motivated and reliable with excellent timekeeping

• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, pressurised environment

• Ability to communicate effectively in English for health and safety and operational requirements
