Our client is seeking a skilled Transport Planning Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cambridge . This role is pivotal in shaping the future of mobility and infrastructure by analyzing transport needs, developing strategies, and designing solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability. You will work on a variety of projects, contributing expertise in traffic modeling, demand forecasting, and policy development. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic and transport modeling using industry-standard software packages.
• Develop transport strategies, feasibility studies, and master plans for various development projects.
• Analyze traffic data, assess network performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentation for clients and stakeholders.
• Liaise with local authorities, transport bodies, and other consultants to achieve project objectives.
• Undertake junction design and traffic calming measures as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Geography, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in transport planning or traffic engineering.
• Proficiency in transport modeling software such as SATURN , VISUM , or Paramics .
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and UK transport policy.
• Experience with data analysis and the ability to interpret complex information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
