About the Role
Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Urban Design Architect to join their established, fully remote practice. This role is critical in shaping the future of urban environments, focusing on the design and planning of public spaces, master plans, and large-scale developments. You will contribute to creating vibrant, sustainable, and people-centered communities. Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic urban design concepts and master plans for complex sites and city districts.
- Create compelling visualisations, models, and design guidelines to communicate urban design proposals.
- Engage with stakeholders, community groups, and local authorities to facilitate consensus and support for design initiatives.
- Conduct site analysis, research urban trends, and apply principles of sustainability and resilience to design strategies.
- Ensure designs promote social equity, economic viability, and environmental responsibility within urban contexts.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a remote team of planners, architects, landscape architects, and engineers.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect or Urban Planner with substantial experience in urban design and master planning.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex urban development projects.
- Expertise in urban design theory, principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency in urban design software such as Rhino , Grasshopper, AutoCAD, and GIS.
- Strong understanding of planning policy, development economics, and public consultation processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, essential for a remote role .
