UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and insightful UX Researcher to join their product development team in Oxford . You will play a critical role in understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations to inform the design and development of intuitive and user-friendly digital products. This position involves planning and conducting various user research studies, analyzing findings, and translating them into actionable insights that guide product strategy and design decisions. The ideal candidate is passionate about advocacy for the user and has a strong methodological foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute a range of user research studies, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries.
• Recruit participants for research studies and manage participant logistics effectively.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data to identify key user pain points, needs, and behaviors.
• Synthesize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights and present them to cross-functional teams, including design, product, and engineering.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to ensure user needs are understood and integrated throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Stay current with the latest user research methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UX Researcher or in a similar user research role.
• Demonstrated experience planning and conducting various qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Proficiency in research analysis and synthesis, with the ability to translate complex data into user-centered insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate research findings effectively.
• Familiarity with UX design principles and the product development process.
• A degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field is preferred.
