UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking a curious and analytical UX Researcher to join their product development team in Oxford . You will be instrumental in understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations to inform the design and development of intuitive and effective digital products. This role requires a deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to translate research findings into actionable insights for the design and product teams. You will work in a collaborative office environment, advocating for the user and ensuring that user-centered design principles are at the forefront of our product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and conduct user research studies, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and heuristic evaluations.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data to identify user pain points, needs, and opportunities.
• Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for product design and development teams.
• Create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to help the team understand and empathize with users.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure user insights are integrated into the product lifecycle.
• Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in UX research or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience with usability testing platforms and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• A portfolio showcasing UX research projects and their impact is highly desirable.
