Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their facility in Reading . You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and accuracy within the warehouse, contributing directly to the successful execution of the company's supply chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures within the warehouse.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders to meet customer demands.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
